Dr. Gelareh Zadeh is Chair of the Department of Neurologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and a Professor at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She holds the William J. and Charles H. Mayo Professorship I. She earned her degrees at the University of Manitoba and completed neurosurgery residency and a Ph.D. at the University of Toronto, with additional fellowships in Toronto and London. Previously, she held multiple leadership roles at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on molecular analysis of brain tumors, particularly meningiomas, and has been widely published in leading journals.
