Melanie L. Lyden, M.D., MHPE, is an endocrine surgeon with a special interest in parathyroid, thyroid and adrenal diseases. Her approach to care is patient-centered and personalized. She is the chair of the Division of Endocrine Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She is a professor of surgery at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. Dr. Lyden earned her medical degree from Michigan State University. She completed her general surgery residency at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center and her endocrine surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Dr. Lyden earned her Master of Health Professions Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
